Matt Healy brushes off Taylor Swift ‘split’ as he’s seen after romance ‘ended’

The 1975 frontman Matt Healy appears to have brushed off his reported split from fellow singer Taylor Swift as he returned to the stage.

Just weeks after it was reported that Matt, 34, and Shake It Off singer Taylor Swift, 33, were seeing each other, it appears the duo have now called it a day.

US publication TMZ reported on Monday that award-winning singer Taylor is now "single again."

Just hours after those reports, Matt was back out on stage with his band as they performed a show at the Wiener Stadthalle in Vienna, Austria.

The shock split has come shortly after Matt appeared to refer to the dating rumours about him and Taylor as he appeared on stage at Radio 1's Big Weekend with his band.

As he took to the stage in Scotland in a white lab coat, Matt told the crowd: "Is it all a bit? Is it sincere? Will he ever address it?"

Before he continued to add: "All of these questions and more will be ignored in the next hour. Ladies and gentleman, this is The 1975."

There was no other mention of Taylor and he did not go into any more detail about the dating rumours throughout the rest of his band's set.

It came after Matty had been spotted at a number of Taylor's concerts throughout America as she continues her huge Eras tour.

During one of Taylor's shows in Nashville back in May, Taylor appeared to confirm the romance as she performed her song Cardigan from her album Folklore.

Before she sang the song, she mouthed the words: "This is about you, you know who you are. I love you."

A few days before Matt had been seen mouthing the same words, as he drank from a bottle of wine during a performance in the Philippines.

Just after, they both appeared to confirm their romance, the duo were reportedly spotted sharing a kiss as they had a date night at private members' club Casa Cipriani in New York.

Before Taylor's near two month romance with Matt, she was in a long term relationship with actor Joe Alwyn.

Taylor and Joe were together for six years before they split back in April, and just weeks later rumours started to circulate about Taylor dating Matt.

Before they split, rumours swirled that Joe, 32, and Taylor were engaged, with a wedding set to take place in either late 2023 or 2024.
