Tributes have poured in for the Halloween actor George P Wilbur after the news of his death was announced on Facebook. Fellow Halloween stuntman Christopher Durand shared the news on the social media site as he penned a heartfelt tribute.

He penned: “George P. Wilbur passed away last night. George, you were a class act and well loved. You will be missed.”

Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers screenwriter Daniel Farrands paid tribute to George, commenting: “Very sad to hear of George’s passing. He was such a kind soul and a beloved member of the Halloween family.”

Actor Spencer Charnas tweeted: “RIP to one of my favorite Michael Myers actors of all time, George P. Wilbur.

“One of the first horror stars I ever met was George back at the original Spooky World in 97’. A class act and true legend.”

Fans also took to social media and offered their condolences to the actor.

Zep wrote: “Rip George P Wilbur his performance as Michael Myers in H4 & H6 was amazing.”

Gary penned: “Legend.”

Nic added: “Rest in peace, sir. If there is one thing I didn’t dislike about the movies he was in, it was definitely his performance as Michael Myers.”
