Susanna Reid angrily shouted and stormed off GMB set after embarrassing mistakes

Sussana Reid reportedly stormed off the Good Morning Britain set and shouted at her colleagues after a series of mistakes aired on the show.

According to The Sun, he long-time reporter of the popular ITV morning programme is said to have berated staff following several spelling mistakes on-screen.

One faux pas included the misspelling of news correspondent Ben Chapman’s name, who was reporting live from war-torn country, Ukraine. Ben’s surname was spelt "Champan" on-screen.

It comes after the word “remembering” was also misspelt while the show was covering a particularly sensitive subject.

The series of mistakes reportedly led to Susanna, 52, losing her temper as she felt it left the team “looking stupid” as she stormed off set.

“She made her feelings very clear, angrily shouting that the mistakes made her and the whole show look stupid — as she stormed off camera and confronted production staff,” a source told the publication.

OK! has contacted Susanna’s representatives for comment.

The ordeal comes after Susanna’s co-host Richard Madeley was forced to apologise earlier this week after using the incorrect pronouns for singer Sam Smith.

On Monday morning’s show, Susanne and Richard, 66, discussed the backlash Sam – who uses pronouns they/them – was facing as a result of their racy music video for their new track I’m Not Here To Make Friends.

The video has divided social media users as Sam dances provocatively in corsets, suspenders and nipple tassels — with loyal fans since leaping to the singer's defence over the scenes pointing out other music videos have been just as racy over the years.

Talking about the scenes in the music video, Richard accidentally used the wrong pronouns for Sam, prompting co-host Susanna to jump in.

Susanna said: "Remember that Sam Smith uses the pronouns they!" to which Richard apologised, saying: "They, yes, sorry!"

Later, Richard made another mistake as he used the wrong pronouns for their guest, who was part of the debate, as they said: "They! I use they/them pronouns" with Susanna also pointing it out.

With Richard quickly apologising, saying: "I am so sorry! I will learn to do that."

Sam announced in 2019 that they were changing their pronouns to "they/them" after a "lifetime of being at war with my gender", adding: "I’ve decided to embrace myself for who I am, inside and out."

While the show has faced a series of mishaps, Susanna was recently praised for consoling Levi Davis’ mum live on air.

The rugby star has been missing since late last year, and his mother Julie has been on GMB a couple of times to discuss Levi’s disappearance.

The devastated mother was moved to tears on the morning show, sparking Susanna – who is also a mum – to reach over and hold Julie’s hand.
