Nick 'thankful' for Thanksgiving with loved ones after Aaron's death

Nick Carter and his family seemed to have enjoyed an old fashioned Thanksgiving, even as they continued to mourn the death of his brother Aaron, who died November 5 at the age of 34.

The Backstreet Boys singer, 41, posted a series of pictures from the festivities with his wife Lauren Kitt, 37, and their three kids, Odin, six, Saoirse, three and Pearl, 19 months, along with extended family members.

Writing on Instagram, the Larger Than Life singer expressed his feelings, ‘So thankful to spend some quality time with all our loved ones on Thanksgiving. we hope you all had a great time as well.’

The holiday was bittersweet for the Carter family, as they are still reeling from the death of younger brother Aaron, who was found dead at his home in Lancaster, California earlier this month.

Charity: No cause of death has been released, but Aaron had long struggled with mental health issues. Nick and his sister, Angel, are raising money for On Our Sleeves, a children’s mental health organization.

Melanie seemed to be carrying on as best she could, sharing a short video clip of Prince, one, hanging out in the kitchen with his mom on Thanksgiving.

The tyke was bundled up in a red sweater and jeans as he played with the cabinet doors. 

The beauty influencer looked comfortable in a pale pink sweater and jeans as she knelt by the boy, writing ‘His Smile’ on the video. 

TMZ cited a family source who told them Melanie’s family chipped in to make the day special, helping make the Turkey, which was Aaron’s specialty.

This week was made even more emotional, as Prince celebrated his first birthday only days before on November 21. 

To mark the occasion, the grieving single mom posted a video of the late So Much To Say singer playing the piano in their first days as a family of three as Melanie and a then-newborn Price sat by his side.

‘I can barely watch this video but I thought I would share. I loved these moments we had such a beautiful family,’ she wrote next to the clip. The couple’s beloved dog, Zelda, was also at the gathering.

Birthday: Prince turned one November 21. Melanie shared a video of their family as Aaron played for the piano to a then-newborn Prince writing, ‘I can barely watch this video but I thought I would share. I loved these moments we had such a beautiful family’
