Henry Silva passed away aged 95 on Wednesday in Los Angeles, reports confirm.

The New York-born actor reportedly died of natural causes at the Motion Picture & Television Country House and Hospital in Woodland Hills.

The Hollywood star spent more than 50 years on screen and racked up 130 film credits, including Johnny Cool, Ocean’s Eleven and The Manchurian Candidate.

Henry often played gangster and criminal characters, with perhaps his biggest role as Johnny Cool, a former outlaw-turned-assassin who is on a revenge mission to destroy his mentor’s enemies.

While he also appeared on shows such as Hawaii Five-O and Mission: Impossible.

Playing alongside Frank Sinatra John Frankenheimer’s 1962 thriller, The Manchurian Candidate, Henry portrayed the character of communist spy Chunjin.

American singer and actress Deana Martin took to Twitter to pay tribute to the late actor on Friday – sharing that her ‘heart was broken’ over the loss of her ‘dear friend’.

‘Our hearts are broken at the loss of our dear friend Henry Silva, one of the nicest, kindest and most talented men I’ve had the pleasure of calling my friend. 

‘He was the last surviving star of the original Ocean’s 11 move. We love you Henry, you will be miss,’ she wrote in the heartfelt tweet.

Henry, who is thought to have passed away peacefully, was pictured walking with the aid of a zimmer frame prior to his death.

He was married three times throughout his life and is survived by his sons, Scott and Michael.
