Peaky Blinders star Cillian Murphy caught urinating in street
Peaky Blinders writer Steven Knight invited Cillian Murphy, who plays Tommy Shelby in the crime drama, for a night out in London yesterday.
However, Cillian found himself caught short, and felt compelled to publicly urinate up the side of a wall, while cameras snapped away to capture his predicament.
Earlier that evening, he and Steven had been downing pints of Guinness at the popular Soho pub and eatery The French House – but some might say he’d filled his bladder a little too much, judging by subsequent events.
The French House’s website describes itself as “truly deserving [of] its reputation as the best-known pub in the world’s naughtiest square mile”.
As a celebrity, Cillian might have been attracted to its “no mobile phones” policy, which would have allowed him to drink and chat incognito, without anyone recording him.

However, disaster struck outside, with paparazzi lying in wait for him right when nature made its call.
Having failed to use the facilities in the pub, Cillian found a wall at the side of a road so that he could urinate.
Despite the embarrassing blunder, it looks as if he may have been discussing some lucrative business opportunities just moments earlier.
The Peaky Blinders film is due to hit cinema screens in early 2024, according to reports, but – not one to let the grass grow under his feet – writer Stephen is said to be creating another drama.
Based on a concept by Sarah Lancashire, the forthcoming TV series will dramatise the life of legendary playwright William Shakespeare.
Curious fans speculated over whether Cillian might be discussing being offered a part in the series, although others suggested it was equally likely that Steven could simply have been catching up with him over a beer.
Steven earlier told the world: “I’m excited to be embarking on what will be a landmark TV production telling the dramatic story of the world’s most accomplished writer.
Adding that he was keen on the setting of the story, which begins in the West Midlands, he explained: “It’s a period I love and the team that has been put together is extraordinary.”
Sarah Lancashire has also spoken out about the project, saying in an official statement: “Via Pictures are very pleased to be collaborating with Kudos and the brilliant Steven Knight to screen the remarkable story of William Shakespeare and his contemporaries.
“This is a thrilling project about a golden age beset by plague, Puritanism and deadly politics.”
