Peter Andre brands Michael Jackson tribute night ‘incredible’ achieving life’s ambition
Peter Andre has gushed about his "incredible" night on Saturday, 13 May, when he paid tribute to the late Michael Jackson in concert at the famous London Palladium theatre.
The 50 year old star joined forces with the National Philharmonic Concert Orchestra to celebrate the music of Michael Jackson and the Jackson Five at the concert.
The dad of four posted a video to Instagram of him onstage singing at the event, which was taken by someone in the crowd.
In the caption, Peter wrote: "Last night was incredible on so many levels. It was on my bucket list for celebrating 30 years to do this and that box is ticked.
"I have so many videos to post but need a few days to compile them. The London Palladium was amazing. The orchestra omg. The lights. The sound. Wow. Give me a few days and I am gonna show you just what an incredible night it was. @cleopatra_higgins_official @haydonmusic @mrdavidjulien.
"Singing with you guys was epic. Also @garylloydme … you’re the best. . #gonetoosoon #nationalphilharmonicconcertorchestra #michaeljackson."
He was so proud of the achievement that he pinned the post to the top of his Instagram grid.
Peter's longtime manager, Claire Powell, commented: "The vocals," with a number of of fire and raised hand emojis.
One of Peter's fans wrote: "You was amazing. Loved every minute," whilst another wrote: "From the first beat of the first song everyone was up dancing -what a fabulous evening ! Brilliant -just amazing x loved it x."
Another commented: "Love this peter , sound amazing,,,thank you for sharing xx x," as a fourth said: "You’re so perfect at MJ’s songs. This is one of my favourites."
To his Instagram stories, Peter also reposted something from his photographer, which showed a shot of the show with the lights going on behind.
The photographer, named Bonnie, wrote: "The concert tonight was so good, even the lights made a happy face!
"Congrats to all the team. You are a dream to photograph [camera emoji]."
Peter has long been a prominent face in the music industry, after bursting onto the scene in 1995 with his hit song, Mysterious girl.
He recently hit out at accusations that 'casual sex' led a 'breakdown' when he was 25, after his life became a "blur of nightclubs and groupies".
Peter opened up about his rise to fame in a recent interview, which saw him talking about how he ended up seeking psychiatric help at the height of his career in the 90s.
But in his regular column for OK!, Peter said: "I took to Instagram to make it clear that this isn’t actually what I said – I think a headline like that can change your perception of someone instantly."
