Peter Andre ‘may take legal action’ over Katie Price’s mum’s remarks in new book

Singer Peter Andre could be considering legal action once more after his ex-mother-in-law Amy Price made negative comments about the star in her new tell-all book, The Last Word.

Peter, who was married to Amy’s daughter Katie Price between 2005 and 2009, has reportedly been left “upset” after she spoke out against him.

The Mysterious Girl singer, 50, and his wife Emily MacDonagh, 33, aren’t happy with Amy’s comments, according to OK! Magazine. 

A source told the publication that Peter is now considering fighting back by pursuing legal action. 

Katie, 45, met Peter when they were both contestants on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! back in 2004 and the pair share children Junior, 18, and Princess, 16, together.

Their relationship is known to have been strained ever since their divorce, with the pair previously being embroiled in legal battles. 

Following the release of Amy’s book, a source claimed: “Pete’s considering legal action. 

“He just doesn’t understand why his name keeps being mentioned – it was a long time ago. 

“This shouldn’t be allowed to happen again and is upsetting for him and Emily,” the source added.

Emily and Peter have been married since 2015 and share two children: six-year-old Theo and nine-year-old Amelia.

This isn’t the first time talks of Katie and Peter heading to the courtroom have arisen, as in 2015 Katie accused Peter and his reps of launching a smear campaign against her.

At the end of the three-year legal battle, she agreed to pay Peter and his agent Claire Powell costs. 

In 2009 Katie accused Peter of not genuinely caring for his former step-son Harvey and claimed he cheated on her, but ultimately she was forced to make a public apology to Peter and pay compensation after he sued her for defamation.

In her new book The Last Word, Katie’s mum Amy did not hold back, as she launched heavy criticism against a number of her daughter’s exes.
