Peter Andre’s ‘heart melted watching Theo and Millie with his ailing mum on first Oz trip’

Peter Andre’s latest trip to Australia was an extremely special one.

Back in March the singer was reunited with his elderly parents Savvas and Thea for the first time in two years due to the Covid-19 pandemic, but this time the dad-of-four was able to take his youngest children Millie and Theo to Oz for the very first time.

Admitting it “melted his heart” to see his ailing mum, whose health has been declining, with Millie and Theo, Pete wrote exclusively in his column: “I’ve spent the last two weeks in Australia with the whole family and it’s meant everything to me.

“We ended up jetting off on Boxing Day and at the time of writing this we are on our way back.

“Seeing my mum with all of her grandchildren around her has melted my heart. This is exactly what I dreamed of when I thought about starting 2023.

“Although her health has declined a lot, seeing her laugh so much with the kids was a definite plus.”

He continued of being reunited with other members of his family on the Gold Coast: “I was so happy to spend some time with my dad and sister Debbie, too.

“Junior and Princess have been coming over with me every year and have such a close bond with them, but this was the first time Theo and Millie have visited and they finally got to hold a koala and sit and have lunch with some kangaroos.

“I’ll be making more trips throughout the year to spend more time with my mum and dad. I can’t wait!”

Pete was born in Harrow in London but his family moved to Sydney in Australia when he was six before settling on the Gold Coast when he was nine.

As well as planning more trips Down Under in 2023, Pete is also set to celebrate a milestone birthday.

The star will be turning 50 next month and plans to celebrate with his nearest and dearest.

His exclusively told OK! of his plans: “I definitely don’t want a birthday party but really just want to go away with my family on holiday.

“When I was 40 me and my brothers planned for my 50th that we would hire these big three-wheeler Harley-Davidson bikes and travel across America on Route 66.

“But now we’re all a few more years and kids down the line I think my dream would just be to go somewhere hot with my family.”
