Prince Harry and Meghan took photographer into Buckingham Palace without Queens permission

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have come under fire after royal aides have accused them of taking a photographer into Buckingham Palace without being granted permission.

The explosive trailer for the Sussexes' new Netflix documentary series, titled Harry & Meghan, recently landed and it features a number of never before seen snaps of the couple throughout their romance, including photos from the wedding, holidays and inside their home.

One photograph that stood out in the one-minute-long trailer is a black and white shot of Harry, 38, and Meghan, 41, from behind, with the pair walking out of a room hand-in-hand.

The shot appears to have been taken inside Buckingham Palace, with the couple walking towards the garden entrance to head outside together.

Anyone wishing to film or take photos in the royal residence requires permission, with there said to be a "strict protocol" surrounding imagery in the palace.

According to The Telegraph, the photographer's presence was the subject of a written complaint at the time, with royal aides noting that Harry and Meghan hadn't request permission to take snaps inside Buckingham palace.

However, the publication reports that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were not made aware of warning.

A source said: “There is very strict protocol about bringing a film crew or photographer. Usually a memo would be sent to the Queen to get approval.”

A second insider said there was "surprise" at the photographer's presence, while another said that household staff had noticed the photographer as Harry and Meghan arrived and exited the palace.

During the Sussexes final weeks as members of the Royal Family in March 2020, they embarked on what has been labelled as a 'farewell tour', where they undertook their final engagements as senior working royals.

It was during this tour that the couple were followed by photographer Chris Allerton, with certain snaps being released shortly afterwards.

There's no doubt many more never before seen snaps of Harry and Meghan will feature in their new Netflix documentary, which is set to land on the streaming site on Thursday 8 December.

The Sussexes are set to 'tell their story' with the trailer featuring individual interviews with each of them and a number of emotional photographs.
