‘What a let down’: S Club 7 fans left ‘raging’ after only Bradley McIntosh turns up to sold-out concert

S Club 7 fans have been left fuming after only one member of the band turned up to sing at a sold-out gig.

Tina Barratt and Bradley McIntosh had been booked to perform at a 150-capacity bar, with tickets selling out in 90 seconds for £23 a piece.

However, on the night Tina was absent, leaving Bradley to perform on his own and angering fans.

They took to the venue’s Facebook page to complain, with one saying: ‘What a let down.

‘Turned up to find out they can’t perform as S Club as they’ve signed a contract and no Tina. Happy to take everyone’s money though.’

According to The Mirror, fans also took to Twitter with one writing: ‘What a disappointing night. I felt so bad for Bradley’.

A third person echoed: ‘Absolutely raging!! Paid good money to see two members of S Club 7 and only one showed up. We weren’t notified about this either’.

The bar, Wyld, responded to the controversy, explaining that it was down to contract obligations after the band announced their reunion.

Owner Josh Peverley told the Isle of Wight County Press: ‘Sadly, this situation was out of our hands, and when we booked the show earlier this year there was no speculation or confirmation of an S Club 7 reunion, for which contractual obligations meant they weren’t able to appear for the show we had booked and sold tickets to. ‘

It comes after S Club 7 recently announced they are reuniting for a special 25th anniversary tour.

Speaking on coming back together, the band said: ‘After eight years it feels amazing to announce that we’re reuniting and performing together again.

‘Music and friendship have always been at the core of everything that we’ve ever done. We hope everyone can join us for one big party!’

Collectively, S Club 7 amassed four UK number one singles with ‘Bring It All Back’, ‘Never Had a Dream Come True’, ‘Don’t Stop Movin’, and ‘Have You Ever’, as well as the UK number one album ‘7’.
