Scarlette Douglas has revealed she is open to finding love on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! 2022, which returns to screens next month. At Brisbane airport today, the 35-year-old said she heard there may be a man for her in the jungle, following her secret split from The Voice star Lyndrik Xela.

The presenter told The Mirror’s I’m A Celebrity correspondent Mark Jefferies: “I am looking for love potentially, haha. I just like a good honest and trustworthy man, that’s it.

“But I did hear there might be a man in the jungle with a good set of muscles.

“So, if I head to the jungle I would like to see a muscly guy. I am looking for a Tarzan out there.”

Scarlette is the ninth celebrity to have landed Down Under in preparation for the show.

She will be joined by the likes of; radio DJ Chris Moyles, royal family member Mike Tindall, footballer Jill Scott, newsreader Charlene White, Love Island star Olivia Attwood and soap stars Sue Cleaver and Owen Warner.

The A Place In The Sun may be used to life in the sun, however this time it will be worlds away from her usual comfort in hotels.

On what she is dreading, Scarlette continued: “I am not the best with creepy crawlies and I hear they are supersized here so wish me luck with that.

“I am more of a glamper so this is going to be interesting if I was to go camping.”

The property expert went on to say she is “super competitive” and has “had to compete for the limelight” being a girl with two brothers.

“I am really looking forward to getting stuck in,” she continued.

This time last year, Scarlette was in a relationship with musician Lyndrik Xela.

A source has since told The Sun they split in secret after two years together earlier this year.

In an interview with Express.co.uk, the presenter revealed how she coped with the pair being apart at times due to their jobs.

She spilled: “He’s having the best time, so I guess it’s not as difficult when we’re both away working.

“I miss him when he’s away and vice versa, it’s still hard but we FaceTime and things like that.

“We get through it, we get by.”

Scarlette went on to say that it was however difficult being away from loved ones during filming for the show.

“I don’t have kids like Laura [Hamilton], Jasmine [Harman], Ben [Hillman] and Jonnie [Irwin], I’m sure its even harder for them.

“It is hard being away from family, you know, six weeks at a time or missing out on best friends’ weddings and missing out on birthdays and stuff because you’re away.

“I’d say that’s probably the hardest bit is not being with the family all the time.”

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! kicks off on November 6 on ITV.
