Spice Girls set to ‘reunite for King Charles’ Coronation – including Victoria Beckham

The Spice Girls are set to reunite to perform atKing Charles’ Coronation spectacular in May, according to reports.

The legendary pop group are said to be seriously considering getting back together for the historical event as a five-piece – includingVictoria Beckham.

It has been reported that royal organisers are ‘super keen’ to bring in the Spice Girls as part of a huge concert during the three-day celebration betweenSaturday 6 and Monday 8 May.

If it happens, it will be the first time the group have appeared on stage as a five-piece since theclosing ceremony of the London Olympics in 2012. They last reformed for a stadium tour in 2019 – but Posh Spice declined to join.

A source toldThe Sun: “Royal organisers are super keen to secure Britain’s biggest girl band and the Spice Girls are seriously pondering a return to the stage as a five piece for such a historical event.

“Certainly the reality is that the Coronation is as special as The Olympics – a one off celebration and unique performance.”

The insider added: “There is a general sense that a reunion could happen for something this significant. Mel B and Mel C are the ring leaders in the group, trying to make it happen.”

Earlier this month,Mel C said she and the other Spice Girls –Melanie Brown,Emma Bunton andGeri Horner – werekeeping their fingers crossed for the return of Victoria.

The singer, whose real name is Melanie Chisholm, told how it would be the “ultimate dream” to get all five band members back together on stage again.

She told The Times' Saturday Review: “The door is always open for Victoria, we would love to see her back. We keep our fingers crossed.”

And last year, Mel C spoke of her disappointment at the Spice Girls not being able to perform at the late Queen's Platinum Jubilee concert in June 2022.

She toldExpress.co.uk: “You know what, we would have loved to be there but it was just one of those situations where it was impossible.

'With us girls, there is so much that we would like to do but there are four, five, people involved with families and other commitments and responsibilities.

"So, I think that was something that we had to miss."

She added: “We weren’t happy about having to miss it, but yeah, sometimes things don’t work out.

“It was a shame to not be there on the day but I'm sure that we will have other opportunities moving forward.”

Also last year, Victoria joined her bandmates in a rendition of their classic track Say You’ll Be There atGeri Horner’s lavish 50th birthday celebrations.

Her husbandDavid captured the moment on video, showing Victoria wearing a stunning black slip dress as she danced and sang with the Spice Girls.
