Stacey Solomon brands herself ‘1820s judge’ as she does school run with hair in rollers

She’s often known for her stylish good looks and quick fashion and beauty hacks, but the nation’s sweetheart Stacey Solomon has revealed one of the less than glamorous ways she achieves her perfectly polished look.

Taking to Instagram to film the school run today, 15 June, Stacey showcased her hair while wrapped up in a heatless curler – much to the displeasure of her children.

Comparing herself to an 1820’s judge, the proud mum and Sort Your Life out star couldn’t resist poking fun at her own unorthodox appearance as she headed off to drop her little ones at school during the UK’s sweltering heatwave.

With her hair wrapped loosely around the fabric curler in question, a large clip could be seen securing the item in place as she she proudly wore the curler despite acknowledging it wasn’t the most fashionable look.

Addressing her followers directly, Stacey told her fans: “I’m just on my way to do the school run, looking like an actual 1820s judge.” She then cheekily emulated a judge by quipping: “Order!” Following the witty exchange, Stacey soon explained the reason behind her fashion faux pas, as she admitted she was making the most of the good weather to dry her hair without the need for any heated tools at home.

“I’m not wasting this weather. This is nature’s blowdryer,” she began, before admitting her son was less than impressed by her decision. She continued: “ I mean, my 15 year old son is not going to talk to me for a good week, but what can you do? You win some you lose some. Beauty is pain.”

Completing the school run without focusing too much on how she looked, Stacey then returned home to continue getting ready for the day ahead. Swapping her clothes for a stunning ditsy floral printed dress, Stacey then began to unwind her hair from the curler to reveal a loose beach wave that added volume and movement to her locks.

Revealing the finished look, Stacey couldn’t hide her smile as she tousled her hair with her fingers to break up the wave and headed off out to face the rest of the day.

While this is the first time fans have seen Stacey opt for the heatless rollers on the school run, it’s far from the first time the star has championed the use of heatless styling to get her signature look without any residual damage – as she is well known to be a big fan of the heatless curl method.
