Styles P Praised for Confronting Police Officers Who Slam Woman to the Ground

In a video taken by a fellow eyewitness, the ‘Good Times’ hitmaker is seen shouting at the cops who allegedly use violence to tackle a female suspect during an arrest in Yonkers.

AceShowbizStyles P is standing up for his own people. The rapper has been recorded stepping in to protect a black woman who was being detained by police during a somewhat violent arrest in Yonkers, New York.

In a video which first surfaced on Tuesday, July 12, the woman, who is being rumored to be a deliverer for Uber, was seen on the ground with two officers restraining her. Another woman who was filming the arrest approached and was heard telling the officers that she was recording it.

As one of the officers put handcuffs on the first woman, the other officer pinned the woman to the ground by pressing his hand on her back although the woman, who was wearing an orange T-shirt with a black backpack, told them several times that she’s not resisting arrest.

That’s when Styles arrived and immediately confronted the cops. “Yo! He’s a b***h,” the rapper told the officers. “Yo, sista, loosen up,” he told the woman being detained, in an attempt to deescalate the situation for her.

“You’s a f**king hoe,” Styles told one of the officers. “You a whole b***h.” One of the officers then stood up and began to approach Styles, telling him to back up. “I’mma back up. Don’t touch me,” he shouted back while raising his hands.

“Keep recording me,” Styles directed the woman recording as he continued to fiercely confront the officer for slamming the unarmed woman to the ground. “You slammed a girl! For no reason!” he said to the officer, before accusing the cops, “Y’all not from around here and y’all scared of black people.”

Styles has since received a lot of praises for protecting the woman. “That’s right P,” one person commented on the viral video. Another reacted, “Bless you StylesP , no one else would have done that.”

A third hailed the Yonkers native, “Props to Styles!” while someone else said, “He came with all the OG energy.” A fifth commenter wrote, “We need more Kings like this. Thank you my brother. Protect us.”

“YO BABY, WE NEED MORE REAL, SOLID MEN LIKE SP,” one other user penned. Someone else added, “Much respect to Styles P for standing up for that Sista !!!! Protecting a complete stranger and standing up for the blatant disrespect that’s going on in these streets.”
