The View’s Sara Haines says ‘we weren’t gonna say that’ as co-star spills secret
Sara Haines reacted live on-air as her co-host, Joy Behar, revealed some personal information during the Hot Topic segment on Thursday’s show.
It happened following the commercial break as Whoopi Goldberg read the next topic from a Reddit user asking for advice.
She said: “A woman on Reddit told off her sister-in-law, who interrupted her first dance at her wedding to give a speech about how much the woman had changed her brother. And the woman wants to know: ‘Should I apologise?'”
Goldberg looked confused as she admitted: “I’m not sure I understand.”
Behar was quick to clarify the confusion as she said: “Sara can tell you because it’s happened in her family.”
Sara was about to respond but stopped and laughed instead, adding: “That was the part we weren’t going to say,” to which Behar replied: “Oh, sorry.”
The gaffe came after The View producers abruptly cut to a commercial break after bleeping Haines over an unknown comment, leaving fans bemused.
On Wednesday’s episode, The View’s all-star panel discussed The Golden Bachelor, a spin-off of the popular dating show, when things quickly took an unexpected turn.
During the segment, Haines seemingly said something that required producers to bleep out before the show promptly headed to a commercial break.
Before Haines’s awkward blunder, the ladies discussed The Golden Bachelor and how the new series, which will feature older contestants looking for love, will play out.

The View’s hosts offered their thoughts on whether it will be a good show and if they’ll be watching when it airs.
As the conversation continued, Sara chipped in when she suddenly made a comment about the contestants’ ages.
“You guys, these are only 60-year-olds,” the journalist exclaimed. “You know how young they are? I know 60-year-olds. They run marathons!”
Before Haines could finish her sentence, the audio cut out for a few moments until it resumed, where viewers at home could hear the remainder of her sentence.
The whole panel gasped in shock and even controversial host Goldberg nearly “fell out of her chair”, while Haines mouthed a sheepish “sorry” to the crew behind the cameras as the show cut to the commercials.
