TOWIE’s Dani: ‘My Brazilian Bum Lift left me on death’s door, I’ve not felt pain like it’

As we approach the new series of reality show The Only Way is Essex, Dani Imbert has admitted she was left "swollen for weeks" following a Brazilian Bum Lift she had done in Turkey.

Dani, 24, who previously dated co-star Liam Gatsby, 34, wanted to boost her "pancake bum'" with the procedure, which transfers fat from other body areas using liposuction.

"It is something I always wanted," she told us, adding, "I didn't want anything massive. I didn't want a huge Nicki Minaj bum, but mine was like a pancake.

"I just wanted a body in proportion. I always had boobs and no bum – I wanted a bit more meat on my bottom half!"

However, Dani, who has also previously changed the shape of her nose with injectable fillers, said the surgery left her in agony.

"I had some complications and was in hospital for four or five days," she said. "I felt like I was at death's door. I was crying every day.

"I was on morphine, swollen for weeks and couldn't believe what I'd done."

Dani continued: "I didn't realise how long the recovery was. You can't sit down after having it done.

"I was lying on my front or kneeling for eight weeks and couldn't even put on my shoes or socks for six weeks.

"Even now I get a swollen lower back and I had the operation 10 weeks ago."

And while Dani's pleased with the results, she wants to warn others who are looking to follow in her footsteps that cosmetic surgery shouldn't be taken lightly.

"I feel young girls don't see the aftermath, which is not pretty," she said.

Dani advised her young followers: "Make sure you've thought about it for a year.

"It's a big procedure. When people hear 'cosmetic surgery', they don't think it's that serious.

"But I had never been in hospital and I had never had an anaesthetic."

She added: "I'm happy with the result, but It was an intense experience. I didn't need to put myself through that trauma and I wouldn't do it again."
