Victoria Beckham left fans ‘fascinated’ after they noticed she’d had her wrist tattoo tribute to husband David Beckham removed in a beauty video.

The fashion designer, 48, took to Instagram last week to give fans a glimpse at the new Bitten Lip Tint, Je t’aime, from her range and, as the former Spice Girl made a swatch of the make-up on her arm, her body art was noticeably missing.

The inkings on her wrists – which she had done to celebrate milestones with husband David – have become increasingly faded in recent years after she decided to undergo laser treatment to have them removed.

Vanishing act: Victoria Beckham, 48, left fans ‘fascinated’ after they noticed she’d had her wrist tattoo tribute to husband David Beckham removed in a beauty video (pictured in March)

But some of her social media followers were left baffled, with one asking: ‘Why did you get your tattoo removed Victoria? Just fascinated x.’

It is understood Posh, who launched her successful fashion label in 2008, opted for laser treatment after becoming concerned the tattoos were not befitting of a high-powered businesswoman.

As well as the roman numerals VIII-V-MMVI representing May 8, 2006 – the date she and David renewed their wedding vows – her right wrist had the Latin phrase ‘De Integro’, which translates as ‘again from the start’.

Memories: She had her husband’s initials, DB, on her wrist, chosen to mark her tenth wedding anniversary (pictured in 2007)

This is said to have marked her new beginning with her husband and family in the United States, after the former England captain moved to the club LA Galaxy in 2007.

On her left wrist she also had her husband’s initials, DB, and the words ‘Together, forever, eternally’ written in Hebrew – chosen to mark her tenth wedding anniversary.

However, the tattoos were no longer visible at all in Victoria’s latest beauty video.

Another Hebrew tattoo down the back of her neck once read ‘Ani l’dodi li va’ani lo haro’eh bashoshanim’, meaning ‘I am my beloved’s and my beloved is mine’. Her husband has a matching design on his arm.

She also had five stars inked on her lower back, one for herself, her husband and each of the couple’s three sons – Brooklyn, 23, Romeo, 20, and Cruz, 17. The Beckhams now also have a daughter, Harper, 11, born in 2011.

Laser tattoo removal uses beams of coloured light to break down the ink into minuscule fragments, which can then be absorbed into the bloodstream and excreted via the liver and digestive system. Private clinics charge around £150 per session for a small tattoo and up to £800 for a larger one.

Eight to 10 sessions are typically needed for large tattoos.

The procedure can cause temporary discomfort, blistering and redness, and the tattoo almost never completely disappears. Figures show almost a fifth of Britons have at least one tattoo.

It comes after Victoria’s daughter-in-law Nicola Peltz-Beckham sensationally claimed that the former pop star  blanked her for days after offering to design her wedding dress.

The move reportedly blew the bride’s plans out of the water when Victoria said her studio couldn’t make actually make the gown.

Tension: It comes as insiders claim that Nicola Peltz is pushing a ‘false narrative’, about mother-in-law Victoria Beckham ‘bemused’ as to why she keeps ‘stoking the rumours of a feud’

Insiders have said that the model, 27, is pushing a ‘false narrative’, leaving Victoria ‘bemused’ as to why she keeps ‘stoking the rumours of a feud’ rather than shutting them down.

A source told The Sun: ‘Frankly, the most interesting thing about Nicola is that she married into the Beckham clan.

‘David and Victoria have both reached out to her to try and make peace, and find a way to get along.

‘David and Victoria would love to spend more time with their son and his wife, and be given the opportunity to welcome her into the fold, especially given that Brooklyn practically lives with his parents-in-law.’

Nicola instead sported a stunning couture Valentino dress on her special day with Brooklyn in April, however she claims the initial plan was for her to wear Victoria’s specially-made dress.

The model-actress said she was thrilled at the prospect of wearing a dress designed by Victoria, however she didn’t hear from the former Spice Girl, 48, for days before she rung to say she wouldn’t make the gown for her big day.

The devastating news left Nicola stumped – since her stylist Leslie Fremar and mother Claudia were also set to join the design dream team. The plan was shot down in a call between Victoria and Nicola’s mom.

In a bombshell interview with Grazia USA, she revealed: ‘We connected to start designing the dress, and then a few days went by and I didn’t hear anything. Victoria called my mom and said her atelier couldn’t make it.’

Doting husband Brooklyn made his position clear amid the family feud, telling the publication that Nicola is his ‘number one priority’ and that they ‘have each other’s back 100 per cent’.

Nicola, the daughter of New York billionaire Nelson Peltz, attempted to set the record straight as she explained: ‘I was planning on wearing Victoria’s wedding dress and I was truly so excited to be able to wear a design that my future mother-in-law created.

‘I thought that was so beautiful and such a beautiful story.’

Following the revelations from Victoria that she couldn’t make her daughter-in-law’s dress, Nicola recalled: ‘So, I spoke to my mom and Leslie, and I was like, ‘Well, unfortunately, this can’t happen, so what’s the next step?’

‘I’ve been a fan of Valentino and their couture for so long. I was really lucky to be able to travel to [the atelier] to try on the dress. That’s really what happened.’
