Amy Robach was seen for the first time with her estranged husband Andrew Shue since news of her affair with T.J. Holmes broke.
The suspended “GMA3” anchor met up with Shue at a Greenwich Village park Friday morning to hand over their beloved Maltipoo, Brody, as part of a shared custody arrangement.
Dressed in jeans, brown high-heeled boots and a fleece, Robach appeared downcast as she talked to the “Melrose Place” alum, who looked casual in a gray light puffer jacket, hoodie, black sweatpants and sneakers.
The duo appeared friendly, albeit somewhat tense, as they briefly chatted before going in opposite directions.
Page six reported in early December that Robach and Shue were already close to finalizing their divorce after he moved out over the summer.
“They’ve constantly had problems over the years and they finally broke up,” a source shared with us at the time.
Perhaps within their brief chat Robach, 49, provided Shue, 55, with an update about her floundering employment at ABC. As Page Six reported on Friday, both Robach and her co-anchor-turned-boyfriend are likely out at “GMA3” following their clandestine affair.
“They have not been terminated yet, but I don’t expect T.J. to be on again,” an insider shared. “They do want Amy to stay and be a part of things there, but likely not on ‘GMA3.’”
Holmes’ romance with Robach appeared to be the beginning of his downfall, as it was revealed that he was involved in other workplace affairs with subordinate female employees; however, 45-year-old Holmes believed he would be cleared by the network.
“Of course, he’s taking [the review] seriously, but he’s confident he’s done nothing wrong that would merit him to lose his job,” a source told us at the time.
With termination on the horizon, we’re told the duo have “hired lawyers to deal with [negotiating].” It turns out Robach enlisted famed civil attorney Andrew Brettler to represent her while Holmes is working with Eric George.
Meanwhile, we hear the Mouse House is looking to replace Holmes with DeMarco Morgan, who has been filling in for Holmes.
Neither attorneys returned Page Six’s requests for comment.
