Most recently, she revealed the various things she wouldn’t dare to do after working in the emergency room.

From not stepping foot on a motorcycle to never letting a chiropractor touch them, Lex detailed the horrors she has seen that have caused her to reevaluate.

The viral clip has amassed more than nine million views, with her beginning the video: ‘Three things that my career as a nurse has taught me to never f***ing touch or do.’

The first thing the nurse revealed she would never do was get on a motorcycle.

‘Number one, we are going to start off strong, motorcycles. Even with a helmet on, I’m telling you right now, you are just asking for it,’ she said.

‘You can be the safest biker in the world, and I’m telling you right now, you being on a highway going highway speeds, without a closed, circulating object around you is asking to get smashed like a bug.’

Avoid a trip to the ER! The three things Lex would never do

  • Ride a motorcycle
  • Use a propane tank
  • Go to a chiropractor

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), motorcycle accidents represented 14 per cent of all traffic fatalities in 2021.

In 2021, 5,932 motorcyclists died while on the road – the highest number since 1975.

Motorcyclists are about 24 times more likely to die and four times more likely to be injured in a crash than passenger vehicle occupants, according to NHTSA.

The second thing Lex said they avoided at all costs was propane tanks.

She said this was due to having seen patients come in after a propane tank exploded on them.

‘I have had three, three patients who have had propane tanks explode on them,’ they continued.

‘And it has left them with debilitating burns.’

According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, about 600 propane tank explosions occur every year.

However, a study from the Department of Energy notes that the risk of a person dying from a propane explosion is one in 37 million.

According to Great Valley Propane, explosions can occur when the tank is left open, and the gas supply is ignited from exposure to flames or high temperatures.

While rare, propane tanks can sometimes burst when the pressure reaches a higher pressure than the tank can safely vent.

Lastly, Lex revealed the third ‘controversial’ thing she would never, ever do.

They explained that after seeing multiple patients come in with injuries or even die after seeing chiropractors, they swore them off.

Lex then detailed a case of a 26-year-old patient who died after going to get her neck adjusted.

‘Last year, there was a 26-year-old woman in Seattle who died after a chiropractor adjusted her neck,’ Lex said.

‘The main danger in chiropractors is when they adjust your neck because your spinal cord is lined with your vertebral arteries, you have got one on each side.

‘And any amount of quick force in that area could cause those arteries to rip apart, and when those arteries rip apart, the blood that’s in them tries to clot off to stop the bleed, and when it does that, it creates a huge stroke.

‘And that stroke goes directly to your brain stem, and brain stem strokes will kill you so f***ing fast, we can’t even do anything, by the time we get to the hospital, you’re f***ed.

‘I personally have taken care of two patients who had this exact scenario happen to them but I have been in the neuro ICU when we had five.

Although deaths due to chiropractic injuries are rare, they can occur.

One study showed that there were 26 deaths were due to a tear in a vertebral artery following a neck adjustment.

In 2016, Instagram and Snapchat star Katie May died at just 34 after experiencing a stroke following a neck adjustment.

In a follow-up video, Lex said she would also never date a cop, hold fireworks, or go skydiving.
