Lioness star Ellen White’s life away from sports including husband Callum Convery
Ellen White is known as England Women's all-time leading goalscorer and is on course to achieving the England record.
Although much is known about the lethal striker on the football field, not much is known about her life off it including her husband Callum Convery.
Ellen was born in Aylesbury in 1989 and began her England career when she scouted for the Under-16s before making her Lionesses debut in March 2010.
From the tender age of eight, her passion for football was quickly discovered by Arsenal where she honed her talent to become the well-known England striker.
The 33-year-old has had an astronomical footballing career from playing more than 100 England games to being the only member of Team GB to score at the Tokyo Olympics in 2020 and was named as England's player of the year for 2020-21.
Ellen's role in the England squad has made her an asset and a powerhouse in the world of the women’s game.
Nothing is more encouraging than having your loved ones cheering you on at a game, and for Ellen, her husband Callum Convery is just the person for the job.
Who is Ellen's husband?
The pair met at Loughborough College in Leicestershire and got engaged in 2013 before tying the knot in 2014 in a barn outside Aylesbury.
Callum Convery formerly worked as a sports development officer for the Nottinghamshire Football Association however, he has since changed his occupation when his wife was signed by Manchester City 2019.
A browse through Ellens's Instagram feed shows the couple's love of football as well as dedicating their time to charities such as the Darby Rimmer Mind foundation. The star has even taken part in a digital detox day campaign where she came on social media.
The England sensation also likes to share her support for her family including her big sister. In a post shared on her Instagram page, she can be seen reading her sister's book while holding her black and white cat.
She then penned: "I know I’m biased as she’s my sister but I’m so proud of her and the book she has created!".
The footballing star now sets her sign on the upcoming game as the Lionesses face Sweden in the semi-final. And viewers might get the chance to witness the iconic sight of Ellen circling her fingers around her eyes – a celebration inspired by Cologne's French striker Anthony Modeste.
