Meghan Trainor apologized for being insensitive after saying “f–k teachers” during a heated discussion on her podcast.

“Teachers of TikTok and teachers of the world, I recently said ‘eff teachers’ on the podcast, and it’s not how I feel,” the “Made You Look” singer clarified in a video posted to her TikTok Sunday.

“I was fired up because we were talking about how sending your kid to school here in America is so horrific. What all of us have to go through, but especially teachers, is not normal and not OK.”

Trainor, 29, went on to express her appreciation for teachers, admitting she needs to be more careful with her words in the future.

“I love teachers. I fight for teachers. I think they have the hardest job, and they are the most underpaid, they’re the most unappreciated, when they literally raise all of us,” she said.

“I don’t want to make excuses. I’m just so sorry to any teachers who I made feel bad. And I will remind myself that my words definitely could have a consequence, and I will be more careful. Love you all so much. I’m so sorry again. Thank you all for helping me.”

The Grammy winner explained that her anger was directed toward specific teachers but that she did “not mean it to all teachers.”

“I had Trisha Paytas on the podcast, and I knew her history with her teachers, and I knew my husband’s history with his teachers, and I was bullied by some teachers,” she explained. “So in that moment, I got angry and said, ‘Eff teachers. Eff those specific human beings back in the day.’”

Trainor reiterated in the caption of her video that she was “sorry for being careless” with her words, concluding, “Let’s work to make schools a better place together.”

During the controversial April 19 episode of her podcast, “Workin’ on It,” the mom of one, who is currently pregnant with baby No. 2, discussed wanting to homeschool her children amid the rising school shooting epidemic in America.

“We’re homeschooling our kids. F–k that. Everyone on TikTok is like, ‘This is what it’s like to have a kid in America. I have a bulletproof backpack.’ I was like, ‘F–k all of that,’” she said, adding, “Bullying, teachers, f–k teachers.”

Trainor was called out for her insensitive comments on social media, with several teachers on TikTok and YouTube demanding an apology.

“She’s a talented lady, I was just disappointed by this comment,” one teacher wrote on TikTok.

“As a former teacher, I’m absolutely floored that Meghan would say ‘f teachers.’ I worked 12 hour days and weekends, spent money out of my own pocket, sacrificed my mental and physical health to provide a safe and supportive learning environment for my students,” a retired teacher wrote on YouTube.

“I was happy to make those sacrifices, because my number one focus was making sure I was a person each of my students could trust and rely on. Our school system is a mess, but teachers are not the problem. They are the only people left in schools really fighting for our kids,” the ex-educator continued.

“@meghantrainor dont let one bad teacher let you label all teachers. We try very hard and we work hard. I love my students,” another TikTok user added.

Trainor is expecting her second baby with her husband, Daryl Sabara. She and the 30-year-old actor, whom she married in 2018, already share 2-year-old son Riley.
