Donald and Melania Trump are “closer than ever,” sources tell Page Six, as he mounts his presidential campaign — and faces legal troubles.

Melania is now fully on board with the campaign, after his daughter Ivanka Trump stepped back from the spotlight, and she wants to serve as first lady again.

A source told Page Six that Trump is “really beaming next to Melania.”

Mar-a-Lago is apparently abuzz that “the couple seems . . . more bonded than ever. Friends say that Melania’s stepping up — while Ivanka and Jared [Kushner] have stepped aside — has made [Trump] more confident than ever.”

The source told us, “Trump says Melania will be by his side during the campaign more than she was last time.”

She certainly seems prepared to head back to the White House.

She told Fox News Digital this week that if she returned, “my focus would continue to be creating a safe and nurturing space for children to learn, grow and thrive.”

She also said, “My husband achieved tremendous success in his first administration . . . He has my support, and we look forward to restoring hope for the future and leading America with love and strength.”

But she stayed mum on Trump’s various legal woes.

This week, he was ordered to pay $5 million to author E. Jean Carroll after a jury found him guilty of defamation and sexual abuse.
