Pageant queen smashes stereotypes as HGV driver – and it’s her ‘proudest moment’
A beauty queen turned truck driver says passing her HGV test is her "biggest achievement".
Milly Everatt, who was was finalist in the Miss England pageant, is now qualified to haul 44-ton wagons across the UK.
The 22-year-old, from Eastoft in Lincolnshire, hopes to break down stereotypes in the male-dominated industry.

She told Fabulous: “I’ve never passed a test for the first time before but I did it this time with no minors. It’s one of my proudest achievements.
“I might celebrate with a pint of bitter for my trucker side and find some Champagne too."
Milly added: "It’s the trucker place around here. I wanted to fit in, so I ordered the large full English.
"No one thought I was going to finish it but I polished it off no problem…
“The world of trucking is far cry from the world of beauty pageants. I can’t think of one thing that’s the same.”
Milly grew up on a farm so is no stranger to managing big vehicles as she used to drive tractors around.
She was inspired to make the jump after a combination of events, including Covid, Brexit and other factors which led to a shortage of HGV drivers across the country.
The former Miss Lincolnshire wants to prove it's "not just 40-year-old men" who can operate heavy-duty vehicles.
It is currently estimated that only 1% to 3% of HGV drivers are female, something that Milly is trying to change.
She said: “I think we’re in modern times and there’s nothing to stop girls getting involved in that kind of thing.
“It’s not the norm but it should be. It’s also something people don’t think about often, it’s not thought about enough in feminism.
“Agriculture has been forgotten about by feminism.
"Anything that breaks the stereotype has to be a good thing.
"I want to prove its not just 40-year-old men that do this job and if it inspires other women to do the same, that would be amazing."
