People are accusing Kylie Jenner of copying Sofia Richie’s style in ‘attempted rebrand’
Kylie Jenner has been living her best life in the French capital this week, and throughout her trip, has been taking to the gram to share some of her favourite Parisian looks.
From her 21st-century Marilyn Monroe moment to her elegant LBD, Kylie’s style has been looking a little more elegant and low-key.
Look, the Kardashian-Jenner clan are known for taking fashion very seriously, and a lot of the family’s Hulu reality show focuses on them working with designers and curating their looks for whatever high profile event they’re going to next.
But while some of Kylie’s recent fits have been very city of love-esque, and tailored to provide that classic French feel, some people have been noticing a major difference in how the 25 year old is now dressing.
Once a label lover with a wardrobe brimming with branded garments, the makeup mogul seems to have toned it down on the logo front. Which has caused many people to accuse her of undergoing a “rebrand” now that she’s older.
Plus, that she’s copying the ‘IT’ girl of the moment, Sofia Richie’s style.
For some context, the newly married Sofia has recently been praised for her “quiet luxury” and “old money” aesthetic.
This basically describes the celeb fashion trend where – instead of outwardly splashing the cash – famous faces opt for minimalist, subdued, and logo-free outfits.
And because of Sofia’s rise to IT girl status as of late, fans of the star think they’re noticing a pattern of influence on other celebs, especially Kylie.
While stepping out in the Marilyn white halterneck midi dress, which featured a drop-waisted skirt to create a breezy and minimalist appearance, many people took to the star’s comment section to point out the similarities between Kylie and Sofia’s fashion choices.
“She was influenced by Sofia,” one person typed, as another said: “Copying Sofia Richie these days, I see,” before dropping a heart eye emoji.
“Enter the Sofia Richie era,” a third user penned, as a fourth added: “Sofia Richie vibes.”
Someone else took to the social media platform to point out that Kylie’s alleged rebrand has been in the works for a while, and that people have been predicting that the reality star was going to change things up.
"This is funny because the internet literally called this! They said you'd be dressing like this now," the user said, as they inserted an elegant dress emoji accompanied by some classic high heels.
To be honest, we think Kylie's recent ensembles have been nothing short of fire, and we’re also massive fans of Sofia’s style, too.
