Ricki Lake is paying homage to her late ex-husband, Christian Evans, with her first-ever tattoo.

Lake, 54, appeared on “Good Morning Britain” Wednesday and talked about her sweetly sentimental ink.

Located on her left forearm, the tattoo includes a sweet message Evans wrote for Lake, along with an infinity symbol.

The talk show host and Evans were married from 2012 to 2015. Evans died by suicide in 2017 after struggling with bipolar disorder for many years. 

“My beloved husband passed away from suicide and bipolar five and a half years ago. So this was his wedding vow to me that I found on the stationary after he died and it says, ‘I vow to continue loving you,’” the “Hairspray” actress shared.

“It’s not only a message from him, but it’s a message to continue loving myself,” Lake continued. “That relationship and that loss was definitely the darkest period of my life, but through it, so many gifts have come out of it. I’m now remarried and I’m very much in the happiest place I’ve ever been in my life.”
