Tiger Woods’ Ex-Girlfriend Drops $30 Million Lawsuit After He Allegedly Kicked Her Out

Tiger Woods can breathe a sigh of relief, as his ex-girlfriend has dropped the $30 million lawsuit she launched against him last year.

Erica Herman originally filed the lawsuit in October 2022 following her break-up with the professional golfer. She claimed Tiger and his trust violated their oral tenancy agreement when he forced her to move out immediately after their split.

As per the alleged agreement, Erica claimed Tiger had verbally given her permission to live in his residence for the next five years.

But after their break-up, she says she was only given notice she was being locked out of the residence after arriving at an airport to go on vacation. She was instructed she wouldn’t be allowed back in Tiger’s home upon her return.

Erica said that while Tiger’s trust paid for her to stay in a hotel temporarily, they arranged to remove her personal items from his home without her permission or supervision.

Tiger filed a response to her a month later, arguing her lawsuit violates the NDA she signed in 2017, which requires her to resolve any disputes with Tiger through “confidential arbitration.”

“By suing the Trust rather than Mr. Woods, Ms. Herman seeks to evade her obligation to adjudicate her claims in a confidential arbitration and, instead, seeks to gain leverage by litigating her disputes with Mr. Woods in a public forum,” his legal team argued in court documents.

He also claimed to have paid for her stay at a “local luxury resort and provided funds she could apply toward a new residence.”

Erica went on to file a different lawsuit to get the NDA nullified. She claimed that Tiger sexually harassed her when she was working at his restaurant, before they began dating. She claimed to have been pressured into signing the NDA out of fear of losing her job.

However, Erica’s NDA case was dismissed last month, leading Erica to withdrew her original lawsuit over the oral tenancy agreement.

Recent court documents confirm Erica pulled the plug on the case on June 29th, though the news only leaked to the public recently.

When the news first broke about Erica’s lawsuit, sources said Tiger was “terrified” that it would turn into a huge public scandal, similar to his divorce from Elin Nordegren in 2010 when he was exposed for a series of infidelities.

“Tiger feels like this is another shakedown,” a source told PEOPLE. “He doesn’t want another scandal. It terrifies him […] and she knows that because they’ve talked about it.”

“There’s a lot of panic right now […] no one wants the details of a long relationship to be made public,” the source went on, adding it’s been a “nightmare for him.”

Luckily for Tiger (and his reputation), it appears he can put this legal debacle behind him.
