Woman uncovers her ‘cringey’ love letter to ex after shopping in thrift shop

A woman who was shocked to find a handmade gift she had given to her ex-boyfriend at a local thrift shop has uncovered the love letter that was painted over on the back.

Kaylee Powell, who posts on TikTok as @steamgeekcreations, was in her local Goodwill store when she spotted a handmade piece of artwork that she had gifted to her high school ex-boyfriend.

It was a heart-shaped mosaic with the image of a loved-up rabbit and cat on the front, but the back was painted over with red paint.

However, Kaylee told her 44.,100 followers that there was once a love letter written on the back, so she purchased the item to uncover the words she had written to her former flame.

In the clip, which has gained more than 2.2million likes, the letter reads: "I honestly cannot believe that it's only been a couple of weeks.

"The memories we've made the mornings we've shared and the love I've gained are priceless. I really don't know what you see in me.

"I don't know why you care, but I am just so glad that you found something you find worthwhile in me and I am so glad and thankful that I can call you mine.

"I hope we have a thousand more anniversaries after this. I hope that this is the end of my old life in the start of my new one.

"I love you more than words could ever say and I hope that will never change.

"You are my beacon of salvation, the stars and my night's sky and my best friend. I love you. Kaylee. Sorry I had to share my feels XD."

Kaylee said that she found the message 'cringy' but also 'very funny'.

She explained that she wanted to keep it as she believes it's nice to have a relic from her past.

Her ex-boyfriend, who has reportedly seen the video, probably didn't think so – hence why it was left in a second-hand shop.
