A Place in the Sun fans slam house hunters for ‘shocking decision’ – but they have the last laugh | The Sun

A PLACE in the Sun fans have slammed house hunters for 'shocking decision' – but they managed to have the last laugh.

The hit Channel 4 property series aired its latest episode on Thursday.

Presenter Jasmine Harman was on hand to show two potential buyers five potential houses in the sun.

Viewers were introduced to Yvette and Agata who wanted to find their dream home in the seaside town of Alvor on Portugal's Algarve.

They had a maximum budget of £300,000.

After being shown four properties, the couple immediately fell in love with the fifth option.

It was a three-bedroom house that was located two miles out of the town.

As Yvette and Agata laid their eyes on the home, they said it was "everything we envisaged".

The property was also the fourth in a row of houses, as the pair revealed the number four was their lucky number.

Despite the abode being on the market for £340k, the couple surprised Jasmine by saying they wanted to make an offer.

Yvette said: "We're going to be cheeky but not too cheeky we don't think. So, we would like to go in at £300,000."

Jasmine reminded the couple that their offer was £40k below the asking price but still phoned the agent for them.

However, their offer was too low and the owner rejected it, as Jasmine delivered the news that the lowest they were willing to go was £327,500.

The ladies were cheeky once more as they submitted a second offer, this time for £218k.

The agent informed Jasmin that for £320,500 the place would be Yvette and Agata's and they would get to keep the furniture bar the TV and bed in the main room.

The ladies accepted the offer – leaving viewers at home delighted but also stunned.

"Told ya it would be £40k below. Cheeky bar stewards," said one viewer.

Another said: "And they said not too cheeky?"
