A Place in the Sun guests have slammed a property that comes with tiny windows of "no use".

Potential buyers Del and Diane were after a holiday home in Tenerife so they could spend their winter in the sun and they had a budget of £120,000 to look for a two-bed apartment.

Host Ben Hillman showed the couple two properties in a gated community and for the third one, he surprised them with a massive property that came with a basement, two balconies and three bedrooms.

Standing outside the hillside property, Del said: "The views are really stunning from here, aren't they? There's nothing in the way.

"I can't wait to see if there's a balcony on the other side where you can actually sit and enjoy that."

The property spans across two floors, including a spacious living-dining area and a huge kitchen.

As soon as Diane stepped into the living room, she said: "I like the neutral floor, it's very good. It's lovely.

"I think it's a shame that window's so tiny because that is the way of the view."

Ben quickly defended and said: "I know but that is to do with keeping the heat out. But I think what you will find with this property is that it's good for the family because it's just got that space and you can be here comfortably together."

When the couple takes a further look around the house, Diane mentioned: "The window, again, is one of those really, really, really, tiny windows, isn't it? It's just for ventilation."

Viewers also chimed in to share their thoughts on the special feature in the house.

One commented: "What a weird-looking building, and as for that view, I suppose it's nice if you enjoy looking at a main road and car parks."

"What a completely and utterly pointless 'window'," a second wrote, as a third stated: "Those aren't windows – they're cat flaps."

Others were not impressed by the view and said the house was overlooking a motorway and traffic.
