Amy's trauma in Corrie as her case will leave dying Paul homeless
As Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) and Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford) work to find enough money to fund Amy Barlow’s (Elle Mulvaney) legal case in Coronation Street, they debate selling the flower shop flat – the place Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank), Summer Spellman (Harriet Bibby) and Paul Foreman (Peter Ash) currently live.
While this will be a difficult ordeal for Billy, Paul and Summer to work through, the last thing they need right now is the stress of finding a new home as Billy and Summer are busy supporting Paul after his MND diagnosis.
Amy is in this complicated new world involving the law after Aaron’s dad, Eric, told her that he’s going to sue for libel.
This is because Amy posted on social media about the night Aaron (James Craven) raped her.
Eric and Aaron are arguing that this isn’t true but because Amy is refusing to take the post down, they’re getting the courts involved.
Coming up, as Steve and Tracy attempt to come up with a plan, Amy wonders if she should use her inheritance money from Deirdre to pay for the case instead.
In the week, as Steve chats about selling the flower shop flat, Amy feels terrible over the fact her friend, Billy and Paul will soon be homeless.
While Amy takes part in a meeting with Adam (Sam Robertson), who is busy going through details of the libel case, Summer tears a strip off Aaron, pointing out that because of his failure to admit the truth, Amy and her family are risking everything.
With Amy’s emotions all over the place, will she continue to go through with the plan, knowing what lies ahead and who will be impacted as a result?
