BBC Breakfast viewers slammed Naga Munchetty for the way she handled an interview during Saturday's (September 24) instalment of the morning show.

The presenter, 47, returned to the red sofa alongside co-host Charlie Stayt and welcomed Labour's deputy leader Angela Rayner into the studio to discuss the reaction to Kwasi Kwarteng's mini-budget.

But merely minutes into the 10-minute interview, fans took to social media with claims Naga and Charlie unleashed an "unashamed attack" on the 42-year-old.

"Unashamed attack by Naga and Charlie on a guest this morning in Angela Rayner both clearly Tory, can no longer watch BBC news programmes," penned one user.

Another said: "#BBCBreakfast sorry, but terrible interview Charlie and Naga."

"Angela Rayner wishing she had stayed at home rather than be tag teamed by Charlie and Naga #BBCBreakfast," tweeted another.

The interview was kicked off by Charlie who asked what Labour's overall reaction was to the mini-budget which was followed by Charlie pointing out that "it could work."

While several took to the platform to slam the pair for the "constant interruptions" during the interview.

"Trying to watch #BBCBreakfast and listen to Angela Rayner but constant interruptions from Naga and Charlie made the whole interview incomprehensible," fumed one.

A second seethed: "@BBC Breakfast Please stop Naga Munchetty interviewing people she is ignorant and doesn't let us the viewers hear the interviewees answers."

"Hi naga let her speak please xx #BBCBreakfast," added another.

While a fourth echoed: "Naga on full interrupting mode. I’m all for hard questioning but not even giving the guest a chance to answer the question is so unprofessional. #BBCBreakfast."
