Love Island star Molly Marsh's show links revealed – with trips to the villa and nights out with Molly-Mae | The Sun

LOVE Island's new contestant, Molly Marsh has flown to Mallorca and is set to enter the villa – but it seems she's been there before and she's pals with former Islanders.

The 21-year-old social media star looks to have ties to the reality show ahead of her first appearance.

It's been revealed that Molly even got private tours of the iconic ITV villa, so she's no stranger to the Love Island experience, to put it simply.

Back in October 2021, Molly was seen posing with Molly-Mae at her Beauty Works event.

She penned at the time: "Feel so grateful to have attended the most amazing event last night! Molly Mae".

The blonde beauty was later seen on a night out with other Love Island stars, including Maura Higgins and Siannese Fudge, in January 2022.

Molly appeared to have met the Islanders at a Christmas party, as she captioned the post: "Camera roll photo dump of me being overly happy to meet these gorgeous people!!!"

The reality TV star then got invited to Mallorca by ITV who gave her a VIP tour of the famous villa before the series airs.

Molly did a paid advertisement for this, and made a YouTube video that included a whole villa tour and Love Island "secrets."

She was also invited to go to South Africa before the 2023 winter season began for another close tour of the property; it was there that she is said to have caught the ITV producer's interest.

"Molly was scouted after visiting the villa in South Africa earlier this year. She was on the tour as an invited guest when she caught the eyes of producers," a source told The Sun.

The source continued: "Molly made it clear she would love to be a part of Love Island and she was told to audition. After going through the process, she's now a shoo-in to fly to Mallorca later this month."

She captioned the post: "WOW I had the most AMAZING TRIP to see inside the brand new love island villa with ITV2 Love Island | PS: I’m not going on the show! AD."

Molly also teamed up with another former Love Island star – Olivia Attwood, to do a "quick fire questions" series to promote Olivia's BBC3 series, Getting Filthy Rich.

The star is no stranger to the spotlight because her mother, Janet, is a British soap star who has had brief appearances on Still Open All Hours and Coronation Street.

Molly has also reportedly been on stage, in national tours of Oliver! and Sleeping Beauty.

Speaking about going on the show, she told ITV: "I think it’s ideal timing and the perfect way to find someone.

"I don’t go out and party and I don’t use dating apps, I’m actually quite old-fashioned, so there’s no better way to meet someone than by going into a Villa in the sun with the potential ‘one’ in there.

"With my job being in social media, I’ve had some amazing opportunities to go on press trips and I’ve actually been out to the Love Island Villas in Mallorca and South Africa.
