Fans of BBC Breakfast were becoming rather annoyed with the continuous FIFA World Cup coverage on the show, as presenter Sally Nugent shared a rumour about her colleague in Doha.

On Tuesday morning's programme (November 22), presenters Sally and Jon Kay discussed England and Wales' latest victory in the football tournament.

As the sports coverage dominated the news programme reporter John Maguire spoke directly to the presenters from Qatar as he provided further insight on the games from the ground.

But the discussion quickly turned to John's attire and the choixe of clothing he chose to wear while in the heat.

Sally said: "But John, I know you had a woolly jumper on yesterday, it was a lovely wooly jumper but I heard a rumour you actually got sun burnt."

But as the presenters, laughed about his misfortune, fans at home were desperate for other news.

Taking to Twitter, one viewer wrote: "Ok #FIFAWorldCup maybe news for some but it’s not the only news, there are other things going on."
