BBC BREAKFAST presenter Jon Kay was flooded with support after he posted about his 'last show'.

The journalist, 53 presents the flagship programme alongside Sally Nugent.


However, he's revealed that this will be his last time on the red sofa for a while.

But fans shouldn't worry, the broadcaster is just taking much-needed downtime over the Christmas holidays.

Posing alongside Sally in the snap, Jon looked dapper as he wore a navy suit.

Sally, 51, donned a pink and red striped top, with a red jacket.

Viewers replied to the presenter and Sally to wish them both a Happy Christmas and New Year.

One wrote: "Big Christmas love to you both… Have a wonderful Christmas and see you in the New Year x"

"Loved you both on Breakfast relaxed but serious when you have to be. Merry Christmas. Have a good break," said a third.

While a fourth posted: "The dream team with such great chemistry. Long may your double act continue!"

Today's programme was presented by Charlie Stayt and Naga Munchetty.

Naga, 47, was slammed by viewers after she took a swipe at weather presenter Carol Kirkwood during the show.

As she brought up the question of whether we would see snow on Christmas Day, Carol spoke her mind, and this led Naga to brand the weather presenter "stern".
