BBC Breakfast's Naga Munchetty 'told off' by bosses as she takes savage swipe at chef Matt Tebbutt | The Sun

BBC BREAKFAST'S Naga Munchetty left Saturday Kitchen host Matt Tebbutt in shock after her honest admission.

The BBC Breakfast host was handing the reins over to Matt and during the live cross, made a savage dig at the TV chef on Saturday morning.

After weather reporter Matt Taylor presented his daily forecast update, Naga told viewers: "From one Matt to another.

"We're with you until 10 o'clock – that's when Matt Tebbutt takes over in the Saturday Kitchen."

The camera then cut to a smiling Matt who was live from the kitchen, Naga greeted him and said: "Good morning, how are you?"

The telly chef replied: "That last Matt really scared me because I thought I had a minute and a half, and I was on my phone texting my friend and I nearly dropped it."

Matt asked: "Do you have any favourite Matt's?"

The journalist immediately responded: "Matt Taylor."

The shocked TV chef replied: "Brilliant."

Matt then introduced his forthcoming guests Prue Leith and Gareth Malone.

As he threw back to Naga, she said: "Thanks Matt," as co-star Charlie Stayt added: "Do you want a bit more time? Do you want a bit more? Does it make it more awkward?"

Matt replied while laughing: "Yeah, why not…what shall we chat about?"

Charlie stated: "I don't know really, I just thought it was all feeling a little bit awkward – I don't know how it is from there, is it feeling a bit awkward?"

Taking it in good humour, Matt laughed: "It's not awkward."

He then turned to choir star Gareth and asked if he was feeling uncomfortable, to which he replied: "It's very very nice."

Matt added: "It's a very relaxed vibe going on today."

Cutting back to the BBC Breakfast studio, Naga said: "It's Gareth…he always brings a relaxed vibe."

Pointing out that his segment was longer than usual, Matt cheekily asked: "Have you lost an item because you seem to be filling?"

Naga sternly replied: "No we haven't, we're actually being told off in our ears to move on, so enough of you."

This is not the first time that Naga has taken swipe at Matt – back in July he left the host stunned.

Naga told viewers: "Do you know the best thing to get you relaxed, find out what Matt Tebbutt is cooking up on Saturday Kitchen.

"It's a lovely bit of comfort eating, well… even with you, Matt."

A shocked Matt replied: "I was going to say you are being overly nice, you were lovely to Ollie last week!"

Naga joked back: "That's because I like him more than I like you."

Matt was not fazed at the jibe and laughed.

"Well, there you go, I was waiting for that, week in, week out you are just throwing me this line that and I don't know where to go with it, and you were just so lovely to Ollie… just saying," he said.

Naga then teased: "Well, it says a lot doesn't it," and Matt added: "Yeah, it speaks volumes. Shall we go on?"

The duo are known for their irreverent banter, with Matt admitting he loved their relationship.

"She is really, really good fun. I met her once in actual life when I made BBC Breakfast many years ago, but it's just that 'toing and froing', that news link," he told Express.

"She's got this particular form of banter. I love her sort of sharp tone.

"I love that she doesn't take any cr*p, basically."
