BBC pushes back MasterChef finale in latest schedule shake-up – here's when it will air next week | The Sun

THE BBC have pushed back the Celebrity MasterChef final after it was postponed in a schedule shake-up.

The broadcaster is currently paying tribute to Queen Elizabeth II – who peacefully passed away at Balmoral on Thursday.

The BBC cooking competition was set to air its three finals episodes this week.

However, the schedules have changed at short notice to replace Tuesday's instalment with an episode of The One Show paying tribute to the Queen.

Finals week was set to kick off at 9pm on BBC One, but now tonight's TV listings have moved the magazine show, which usually airs at 7pm, into the slot with a special episode called Our Queen Remembered.

Now, the grand final is set to air on Thursday, 22 September at 8.30pm.

Celebrity MasterChef fans are also still waiting to find out which five contestants have actually made it into the final, as two of last week's three semi-finals episodes have still not aired.

The death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II has caused much of the TV schedule to be cleared ahead of the historic state funeral.

The BBC and ITV have continued to make changes to their main channel schedule to broadcast the important state events of the coming days.

Wednesday's schedule will see Loose Women, Dickinson's Real Deal, Tenable, Tipping Point and The Chase replaced.

It is unclear whether ITV will return to regular programming next week, though disruption to the schedule is expected.

Her Majesty died peacefully last Thursday – marking an end to her historic reign and sparking an outpouring of grief.
