Bloodlands viewers all have the same complaint over series two ending | The Sun

THE second series of Bloodlands has come to a dramatic conclusion – but fans aren't happy about one fine detail.

The drama built up as Ryan, Olivia and Tom finally faced off and, in shocking scenes, Izzy discovered the truth about Birdy.

In the last episode, Niamh theorised that Robert and Colin came to bury the gold together at his wife’s grave.

But Dardis must’ve turned on Colin and killed him, believing that Olivia and Dardis had a plan to keep the gold together.

While it was previously thought that there might be a twist in who killed Colin Foyle – it seems this time it really was Robert who killed him.

Ending on a cliffhanger is nothing new for dramas, particularly thrillers, but Bloodlands viewers didn’t even get so much as a skyscraper ledge in the finale.

And those tuning in were left far from impressed as the final scenes played out on screen.

Taking to Twitter, one person fumed: "Disappointed with the final episode of Bloodlands. I really thought we’d get a good ending this time round. It would’ve been better as a 90-minute finale."

Echoing their comments, someone else said: "Unsure about the finale of Bloodlands. You'd think I’d learn not to waste my time with predictable endings…"

While a third added: "The Bloodlands finale has me screaming at my TV! What in the world…"

The finale saw a myriad of loose ends including what happened to Emma Brannick, the identity of the Feds’ informer, Birdy’s computer evidence of Brannick’s misdeeds going undiscovered.

All of which are not resolved which can only mean that a third series is in the works.

All episodes of Bloodlands are now available on BBC iPlayer.
