Cash in the Attic fans have one burning question as Channel 5 reboots show after a decade off screens | The Sun

AFTER almost a decade off-air, Cash in the Attic has returned to our screens on Channel 5.

Originally running from 2002 until 2012, the popular auction show was first aired on BBC1 before making the move.

Its former host, Jules Hudson, is back again on the new channel, and is joined by much-loved football pundit Chris Kamara.

Despite many of the show's fans being overjoyed that the show has been brought back, the same can't be said for everyone.

Monday's episode saw the show debut once again, as Chris and expert Paul Hayes paid a visit to guest Ian.

Retired civil servant Ian lives with his stepson Bradley – who has autism – in Leamington Spa.

The pair bonded over their mutual love of trains not long after Ian started dating Bradley's mum Amanda.

All three live in Ian's late parents' house, which they have been doing up over the past few years.

This meant there was plenty of stuff in the attic for both Chris and Paul to sort through.

The family walked away with an impressive £4,000 – not bad at all.

Whilst the wholesome show made a lovely return to our screens, regular Channel 5 viewers were left feeling a bit annoyed.

This wasn't due to the show itself, but more its time slot.

Cash in the Attic has replaced the slot that Aussie soap Neighbours once had.

Taking to Twitter, angry fans shared their opinions.

One wrote: "How the deuce has Neighbours been replaced by Channel 5’s resurrection of Cash in the Attic!!!

"Who wants to watch that? It was cancelled on BBC years ago."

A third agreed: "Really @channel5_tv? Cancel Neighbours to put on Cash in the Attic instead."
