Coronation Street Evelyn star Maureen Lipman had premonition Queen would die
Coronation Street star Maureen Lipman says she had a "premonition" Queen Elizabeth II was going to die.
Her Majesty passed away peacefully at the age of 96 on September 8, Buckingham Palace confirmed at the time.
A state funeral was held for the Queen 11 days later on Monday, September 19.

Before and after the service, the BBC welcomed special guests including Maureen, who she discussed what the Queen’s reign meant to her and explained that she experienced a "premonition" before her passing.
Speaking to presenter Kirsty Young at the time, the actress said: "I had a premonition, Kirsty, I actually texted a friend in Corrie and said 'I think the Queen is going to die'.
"I just had one of those strange experiences and then I thought the show [her one-woman show in Manchester] would be cancelled, I didn’t think anyone would play that night, but the directors came through and said we were all to carry on."
ROSE, a production which serves as a reminder of some of the events that shaped the century, is the project Maureen is involved in alongside filming Corrie.
Reflecting on the show that evening, she said: "It was very tender that night.
"My reaction was immediately visceral, I just sobbed, and then the show had to go on."
It comes after former Celebrity Gogglebox star Maureen, 76, blasted the 'wokes' for trying to make everyone in the TV and film industry "an actor".
The outspoken star thinks it is wrong that women in her profession are now often referred to by the traditional male noun.
Maureen said: "I am an actress – not an actor.
"Yes, some of my views can be a little old-fashioned, but don't attack me for them.
"Consider my point of view," she urged. "Demonstrate a little kindness. Be patient."
Maureen also took a bit of a swipe at the critics and trolls who had attacked Harry Potter author JK Rowling.
The writer has faced accusations of transphobia after she took issue with an online article which used the words "people who menstruate" instead of "women".
The author has even had death threats over her comments.
However, Maureen spoke out against cancel culture.
