Coronation Street fans ‘work out’ Jacob Hay return after Damon exit

Coronation Street: Jacob cooks a fry up in the flat

Coronation Street fans think Jacob Hay (played by Jack James Ryan) could be making a comeback after his dad unexpectedly fled the cobbles on Friday night.

As Jacob only left due to his dad threatening him and his girlfriend Amy Barlow (Elle Mulvaney), it seems as though there’s nothing stopping him from returning.

Taking to Twitter, @CaroleAnn1982 said: “If Damo goes can Jacob come back please #corrie.”

@floweroflondon demanded: “Now send young Jacob back to us #corrie”

@JamieSummersTV commented: “Now you know how Jacob felt, Damon. Kn*****d.”

@Unsworth1live said: “What goes around comes around. Remember what you did to Jacob!!!”

@Homebrew19721 tweeted: “Jacob can come now his waste of space dad is leaving.”

@Itzzzo_ added: “Haha Damon, now you know how your son Jacob felt.”

Damon was made to leave Weatherfield for his own safety after Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) paid a visit to someone from his past.

Adam has been seeking revenge after learning Damon had been having an affair with his wife Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien).

Finding a criminal contact of Damon’s, Adam lied and stated he was planning on speaking to the police to get a lighter sentence for his involvement in insurance fraud.

With the criminal believing the lie, Adamn told his enemy he should leave the cobbles before he found himself a dead man.

Appearing to steal some money from the Bistro, Damon left Sarah a voicemail revealing everything, unaware Adam had heard the message first and deleted it.

Since Tina confessed her affair with Damon, it’s clear Adam has struggled to trust her over the betrayal, with many questioning whether or not their relationship can survive.

Speaking to Metro.co.uk about the dynamic between Tina and Adam, actor Sam Robertson revealed he wants a happy ending for the duo.

He said: “I would have loved to see them growing their family and living happily together.

“I love working with Tina, I think she’s great. But obviously, the writing team and the audience want to see that conflict.

“If they do stay together I just pray they have a period of time where the relationship is tender again and they can be kind to each other and be happy.”

Coronation Street continues on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on ITV from 8pm.
