Coronation Street fans are convinced Sean Tully (Antony Cotton) is in danger at the hands of his new dentist boyfriend Laurence Reeves (Robert Shaw Cameron).

Eileen (Sue Cleaver) and Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce) managed to track down Mitch the taxi driver during Wednesday's (February 8) episode after he issued a warning about Laurence in recent scenes.

Mitch revealed how he and Laurence were having an affair when his wife Lindsey fell down the mountain and he suspects Laurence pushed her.

Eileen and Todd were left shell-shocked and later broke the news to Sean.

Later in the episode, Laurence revealed that the surprise mini break he'd booked involves mountains and Sean masked his unease.

Taking to Twitter, one fan penned: "Laurence is dangerous."

Another added: "Laurence is definitely a killer."

A third person posted: "Laurence enquiring about insurance? I wonder if he'll attempt to kill Sean?"

While a fourth social media user said: "Oh no! What's evil dodgy dentist up to now? Is he going to bump of Sean for the insurance payout?"

"Is he taking out a Life Insurance for Sean?," someone else said.

A sixth wrote: "Sean has learnt Laurence's secret. He needs to be careful and tread carefully around Laurence now as Sean could be next on his redar. He's already getting out travel insurance for Sean."

Corrie spoilers have confirmed that Laurence reveals how there will be no phone signal during their tip in upcoming scenes but how much danger is Sean in?

Speaking about his latest storyline, Sean actor Antony Cotton revealed: "From a drama point of view this is a classic boy who cried wolf story that Todd has said everything out loud about Laurence that he could possibly say but there is always going to be that one time when something might be true"

"But of course Todd being the way he is regardless of whether things are true or not it is always about what is the motive.

"Todd seems to always have a motive for anything he does.

"So when Todd is presented with this fact that he finds out about Laurence it is the same as the photograph of the wife on the phone etc even when it seems to be coming from a good place Sean can’t help by feel Todd is just a bit of a nasty piece of work and he is doing it on purpose."

Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday on ITV1 and ITVX at 8pm
