Coronation Street’s Rebecca Ryan gives birth to first child as co-stars swoon

Coronation Street star Rebecca Ryan has revealed she’s given birth to a baby girl – with plenty of co-stars gushing over the “beautiful” newborn.

The 32-year-old, who played Lydia Chambers in the soap until last year, shared an adorable photo of her bundle of joy to Instagram – where she also revealed her unusual name.

In the sweet snap, the baby girl, whom she shares with husband Dan Acraman, can be seen dressed in a stripy onesie with her eyes closed.

In the caption, Rebecca wrote: “Welcome to the world my beautiful baby girl Aurora."

As expected plenty of Rebecca’s fans flooded the comments section to send their congratulations – including plenty of co-stars.

Mollie Gallagher, who plays Nina Lucas on the ITV soap wrote: “Massive congratulations.”

While Shona Platt actor Julia Goulding gushed: “Huge congratulations, she’s beautiful.”

And Elle Mulvaney, who plays Amy, penned: “Omg the cutest. So so happy for you.”

While other followers also went wild for the snap, with one smitten fan writing: “Congratulations she's beautiful. Love her name.”

Echoing their thoughts, a second gushed: “Aww congratulations Becky and Dan. She is beautiful xx”

In December last year, Rebecca announced her pregnancy with a glowing baby bump snap.

Taking to her Instagram on December 29, the brunette beauty shared the joyous news with her loyal legion of fans.

The 31-year-old soap star, who recently married 'the man of her dreams', could be seen cradling her blossoming baby bump as she posed up a storm beside her Christmas tree.

In another shot, the Shameless star feigned surprise as she beamed to the camera as she rocked minimal makeup for the festive photoshoot.

She rocked a sparkling silver minidress which hugged her growing belly which she teamed with a pair of black platform high heels that also featured a bit of bling on the straps.

Rebecca rose to fame on Channel 4 comedy series Shameless, and is now known for playing Lydia Chambers in the ITV soap.
