Corrie spoiler video: Debbie and Ryan plan to fake break-in for insurance claim

Debbie (Sue Devaney) drunkenly confides in Ryan (Ryan Prescott) about her debts in new Coronation Street teaser video.

Debbie has been struggling following an incident in one of her hotels that saw Ed get electrocuted. The accident shed light on dodgy Ray’s shortcuts and Debbie’s failure to ensure that the wiring was safe following her takeover.

It then transpired that Debbie was in a bad financial situation, with her accountant encouraging her to declare bankruptcy. However, Debbie was determined not to give in so easily.

In the new teaser video, Debbie is drinking behind the bar whilst cosying up to Ryan, telling him the tale of her woes. Although, it isn’t just a friendly ear that she’s after, as she offers Ryan a proposition.

Debbie informs him that she plans to stage a break in in order to claim money back on the insurance, and wants him to help her.

If this plan sounds familiar to you, then you’d be right. Back in 2017 Ryan’s own mum, Michelle Connor (Kym Marsh), also staged a break in at the Bistro when she and silver-fox fiancé Robert (Tristan Gemmill) were struggling with their debts.

Knowing that his mum just about got away with the same crime, will Ryan be sucked into Debbie’s plan?
