Corries Amy Barlow star looks worlds away from soap role in glammed up snap

Coronation Street's resident Amy Barlow actress looks worlds away from her soap role when out of character and enjoying some time away from filming.

Elle Mulvaney, who portrays the sensible yet sassy teen in the hit ITV soap opera, has put on a glam display for a recent social media post – and fans are loving it.

The daughter of Steve McDonald and Tracy Barlow, Amy has been a character in the soap since 2004.

Taking on the role of Amy in March 2010, Elle took over from actress Amber Chadwick – and has been at the helm now for almost 13 years.

After celebrating her 20th birthday earlier this month, Elle took to Instagram – out of character – to parade her glamorous self away from the cobbled streets of Corrie.

Looking ultra chic as she posed for a stylish selfie, Elle beamed for the camera in the first snap – looking worlds away from her natural and plain character.

Donning a full face of makeup, the 20-year-old actress wowed her loyal legion of fans when she uploaded the snap to Instagram.

She could be seen donning a black slinky dress with a round neckline, complete with a sparkly necklace and her brunette locks down, straight and looking slightly lighter than Amy's.

Alongside her chic selfie, Elle also uploaded some sweet snaps of her with co-star Harriet Bibby who plays Summer Spellman in the soap.

One of the snaps saw them both pose for a sweet selfie where the duo looked overjoyed to be enjoying some downtime together away from the chaotic cobbled street.

In the comments sections fans were quick to swoon her Elle's "beauty" with one sweetly asking: "More beautiful every post, how is this possible?

Another went on to pen: "Very stunning Elle xx."

"Lovely pictures, looking fresh and fabulous," added a third.

A fourth simply branded her a "Model".

While a fifth said: "Simply A Lovely Young Gorgeous Woman!"

Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 8pm on ITV.
