Danniella Westbrook left screaming as surgeon operated 'without anaesthetic'

Danniella Westbrook revealed she was left traumatised after a horrific facial operation in Turkey.

The EastEnders actress, known for her role as Sam Mitchell in the BBC One soap, has already had reconstructive surgery and recently headed for another operation to rebuild her face after her former drug addiction left her with crumbling bones and a collapsed jaw and cheekbone as well as damage to her nose.

However, the 49-year-old explained that the procedure was performed without anaesthesia.

Danniella claimed the surgeon even slapped her during the operation, and her phone was confiscated while she begged for him to stop.

‘I’m sat there going, ‘Hey, hey, hey, what are you doing? I can feel that.’ F*****g hell it was painful, a hot laser through my skin,’ she told The Sun.

‘He was going to me, ‘Stop crying, stop crying.’ I said, ‘I’m in a lot of pain. Please, please. I’m frightened. I’m in a lot of pain. I didn’t know this was going to happen.’ It was really frightening.’

She alleged: ‘He’s gone behind me, grabbed my face, he’s gone, “stop f*****g moving,’ and slapped me on the other side of the face. I switched. I went, ‘Who the f**k are you slapping?”‘

Last March, the actress was very open about other reasons when it comes to why she is having multiple surgeries to change the way she looks.

‘People message me, saying, “you’re so ugly, you’re a junkie, you should just go and kill yourself”. I’ve also had messages saying they are glad I’m not coming back to EastEnders because no one wants me scaring their kids on the telly’, she told The Sun publication.

‘Sometimes I wake up and think “I don’t want to die today but I don’t want to face the world either”.’

Following the return of Sam Mitchell (now played by Kim Medcalf) in EastEnders, Danniella told OK! Magazine that because of the ops, she wouldn’t have the time to reprise her role as Sam.
