David Walliams snubbed from BGT reunion as he quits show after recording row

David Walliams has been snubbed from a Britain's Got Talent reunion days after reportedly quitting the show.

The comedian, 51, reportedly quit the ITV series after 10 years as a judge earlier this month.

The shock resignation rumour followed the star apologising for leaked recordings which saw him bad mouth a number of contestants during audition stage episodes in 2020.

Days after his exit was reported, David was seemingly snubbed by his fellow BGT judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon who reunited without him for a Thanksgiving celebration.

The trio enjoyed a dinner on Saturday evening (November 26) to celebrate the national US holiday alongside Simon's fiancée, Lauren Silverman.

It's believed a number of other people attended the celebration which David was conspicuously absent from.

Posting to social media, Amanda shared a number of snaps from the event to her Instagram stories.

In one image, Amanda posed with her fellow BGT judge Alesha and Lauren.

The Heart FM presenter, 51, could be seen indulging in some alcoholic drinks at the boozy bash – sharing the hashtag #cocktailsoverload in another snap re-posted to her stories.

She also roped in her boss Simon, 63, for a fun pic while David was nowhere to be seen.

David's BGT departure is expected to be formally confirmed within the next few weeks.

The derogatory remarks were recorded during an audition show at the London Palladium in January 2020 and saw David call an elderly contestant a "c**t" three times while speaking to an unknown party at the judges table.

In another recording, he was overheard referencing his boner and making sexually explicit comments about a female contestant.

Apologising for his comments, David previously told The Guardian: "I would like to apologise to the people I made disrespectful comments about during breaks in filming for Britain’s Got Talent in 2020.

"These were private conversations and – like most conversations with friends – were never intended to be shared.

"Nevertheless, I am sorry."
