Eamonn Holmes in fresh swipe at Phillip Schofield amid Holly Willoughby feud as pressure mounts to axe This Morning star | The Sun

EAMONN Holmes has taken what appears to be a fresh swipe at the drama engulfing This Morning.

The presenter, 63, liked a post shared by fan which showed himself and wife Ruth Langsford dancing around the This Morning studio.


The video is captioned: “Absolute scenes round at @RuthieeL ’s and @EamonnHolmes’ house #ThisMorning.”

Eamonn has been very open about his feelings towards Phillip Schofield in recent years and his latest social media activity suggests he has been enjoying the drama.

On Monday, Eamonn didn't hold back his opinions on Holly and Phil, whose friendship is said to be on the rocks.

Speaking about the pair missing the BAFTA TV Awards, he said: "I think there should have been a special award for Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby for best actors.”

He later hit back at a fan who accused him of joining the Holly and Phil ‘witch-hunt’.

The concerned person wrote: "I am a huge fan of you Eamonn and will continue to be. I just wish you hadn't jumped in on the Phil and Holly witch-hunt. Maybe I don't know it all, but I hate to see you trading insults."

He replied to the comment: "I think I have a lot more insight than u Lorraine," with a tick emoji.

Eamonn was a presenter on This Morning from 2006 to 2021.

Tensions soared between Phil and Eamonn's wife and fellow presenter Ruth Langsford when Phil cut her off during a segment on Loose Women.

Furious, Ruth launched an official complaint to ITV over his behaviour, and eight other employees told us that the host was "toxic".

Eamonn shared his thoughts on Phil via a newspaper supplement interview – he said: “Phillip is renowned for snubbing people. He’s very passive-aggressive.

“It’s up to Ruth to say how she felt, but I was feeling hurt for her. No one would have snubbed me like that.”

Holly and Phil's relationship is said to have been strained for a long time behind the scenes.

The Sun reported that their relationship fell apart when Phillip failed to tell Holly about his brother's child sex offences.

It is reported that Holly had no idea until Phillip took time off to attend court proceedings.

There were also reports that Holly felt blindsided by Phillip talking to the press about their relationship.

This Morning are now said to be planning to axe Phil, while Holly will stay in the job.
