Eamonn Holmes slams 'arrogant' Holly and Phil over This Morning queue row saying 'just tell the truth' | The Sun
EAMONN Holmes has accused Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield of being “arrogant” and accused the pair of lying about not skipping the queue to see the Queen.
The 62-year-old TV star couldn’t resist taking a pop at the pair recently by liking a meme of himself and wife Ruth Langsford laughing, with the words: “When you reach the front of the queue.”
And he’s since hit out at the pair again, following the backlash the This Morning stars received as Phil, 60, and Holly, 42, appeared inside Westminster Hall to see the Queen lying-in-state without having joined the queue.
Eamonn has now called the pair “arrogant” as he took another swipe on GB News.
His co-presenter Isobel Webster could be seen flicking through today’s papers, and when a report on Holly popped up, Eamonn couldn’t help but comment on the situation.
The TV star said: “I’ll tell you what’s strategic. Why is Holly fighting to keep her job, according to The Sun, but Mr Phillip isn’t?”

Eamonn then went on to read aloud Holly and Phil’s statement regarding the situation and not breaking the rules.
He continued: “’We didn’t jump the queue, we were working. Why was your boss there working with you?
“They didn’t get a fast-track, they say. Lie. They say they didn’t pay their respects to the body. Lie.
“What else were they there for? Let’s just tell the truth about the whole thing.
“They messed up, and instead of being arrogant and saying, ‘We were there working as journalists,’ why don’t they just say, ‘Yeah, we thought it would be a good idea.’”
The TV star also liked a tweet this morning that snubbed Holly and Phil, which read: "Personally, if I have a day off and the tv is on itv, I turn it over when Phillip and holly come on. I love @EamonnHolmes and Ruth and Alison Hammond & @radioleary…"
Members of the public were left furious as the TV hosts appeared to skip the long line, after some of them waited for up to 14 hours.

The pair have since addressed the backlash as they insisted they would "never skip a queue".
They said: "We of course respected those rules however we realised that it may have looked like something else and therefore we totally understand the reaction.
"Please know that we would never jump a queue."
Eamonn and wife Ruth were dropped from their Friday morning slot on the programme in November 2020 after 14 years.
Since then, Eamonn has made no bones about his feelings for his former colleague, Phil.
He told the Daily Mail back in February that he found Phil to be "very passive aggressive" and said he was "renowned for snubbing people".
