EastEnders fans fear Freddie has something to hide as he’s quizzed over Lily’s pregnancy

Fans of EastEnders are getting suspicious about Freddie Slater's potential involvement in Lily Slater's pregnancy, after he became defensive when quizzed about it.

It was revealed that 12 year old Lily (played by Lillia Turner) is pregnant after she collapsed at a New Year's Eve party. She was believed to be suffering from carbon monoxide poisoning, but tests revealed that her severe stomach pains were due to her being pregnant, leaving her mother Stacey (Lacey Turner) horrified.

Lily has insisted to Stacey that she hadn't "been abused" and tearfully begged her mum not to tell anyone about the pregnancy, which Stacey agreed to, until social services and the police got involved as they needed to interview the family.

Stacey pleaded with Lily to tell her who the father is, saying: "Lily, you're 12. Whoever done this to you, shouldn't have gone anywhere near you and I have to make sure he doesn't hurt you again."

Whilst Lily told her mum that the baby's father was Ricky J, after they slept together when "bored", 18 year old Freddie's (Bobby Brazier) behaviour when questioned has got fans of the show wondering if he could be the father, or has something else to hide.

One tweeted: "Freddie does look really guilty but I think that [EastEnders] wants us to think that so they can throw a curveball. I think the slaters will think he is the dad (even though he’s not) and reveal his paternity in an argument comparing him to his real father #EastEnders."

A second added: "Freddie seemed a bit to defensive in that questioning.. I still think there’s a twist to this lily storyline #EastEnders," whilst a third wrote: "Now they’re making Freddie act all suspicious #eastenders."

A fourth tweeted: "Freddie acting suspicious…. #EastEnders," whilst a fifth added: "So are we still thinking little Ricky is the dad??? Freddie seems very angry and quick to shout at the police “Ask Stacey she knows” hhhhhmmm #EastEnders."

Some fans pleased with EastEnders not to "ruin" Freddie's character, proving him to be very popular following his dramatic entrance to Albert Square in September.

"They better not ruin Freddie by making him the father," one fan wrote on Twitter. "Don't ruin Freddie's reputation. He is great on the show. He is really likeable as a new character,"

The son of Little Mo, Freddie arrived back in the square to connect with his mother's ex-husband, Billy Mitchell, who he believed to be his long-lost father, before it came out that his real dad was actually Graham Foster (Alex McSweeney), who raped Little Mo in 2003.

The actor who plays Freddie is Bobby Brazier, the son of late TV personality, Jade Goody and TV presenter Jeff Brazier.
